November 2, 2017  -  John Bridgeland, Rob Gordon, and Dorothy Stoneman speak at the JFK 100th Symposium on national service. 
October 30-31 -  Service Year Alliance Chair John Bridgeland joins Chairman General Stanley McChrystal, Vice Chair Alan Khazei, CEO Shirley Sagawa and a group of top leaders to discuss universal national service at the Mount Vernon Summit. Bridgeland engages Chelsea Clinton in a discussion about national service and its relevance to the challenges America faces today. The group took a tour of Mount Vernon in the quiet of night and were reminded that Six-Star General George Washington saw national service as central to being an American and that he devoted more than 50 years of his life to serving the nation. 
October 20, 2017 -  John Bridgeland spoke at and moderated a panel at the National Conference on Citizenship about civic health and closing the opportunity gap with Robert Putnam, Stuart Comstock-Gay, Diane Douglas, Shawn Healy, and Val Raimos. October 18, 2017 -  Bruce Reed and John Bridgeland moderate back to back panels at the Results for America release of the Federal Index in the Senate Russell Building to a standing room only crowd. 
October 16, 2017 -  John Bridgeland and Checker Finn moderate a discussion on national service and education at the Fordham Institute with top nonprofit and national service leaders.

Civic Enterprises advances many education initiatives aimed at increasing the national high school graduation rate, such as the GradNation Campaign and American Graduate, and is partnering with several organizations working in the field of education, including the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning, and Committee for Children.

Econ. Mobility

Civic Enterprises, in partnership with Opportunity Nation and Hart Research Associates, has worked on a research effort to marshal voices of low-income Americans on the challenges of fulfilling the promise of economic opportunity and mobility in the United States.

Civic Engagement

Civic Enterprises collaborates with organizations that are part of the National Service Alliance, including The Franklin Project, the National Conference on Citizenship, Voices for National Service, and ServiceNation, to advance the idea that all young Americans should commit to a year of full-time national service.

Global Affairs

Civic Enterprises has worked with a diverse array of international organizations, including Children International, Special Olympics, and the National Peace Corps Association, to develop initiatives and strengthen their work both domestically and internationally.


Civic Enterprises is partnering with numerous organizations and programs, such as the Earth Conservation Corps, EARTH University, and the 21st Century Conservation Service Corp, to strengthen environmental policies and initiatives on a national and global scale.


Civic Enterprises is working for The Heritage Foundation to develop a defined long term Medicare reform strategy and health proposals to tie together the health and entitlement LFA teams, working closely with the Director for the Center for Health Policy studies and the Director of the Roe Institute.
